Dog-on Water Ramp was created for our dog Jake.

Being a Yellow Lab, he loved to jump into the water, but we had a heck of time getting him back aboard.  After several attempts and by trial and error... voila! ...the concept for Dog-on Water Ramp was born in June 1998. A working model was built from a large piece of floating dock-foam, lumber, plywood, and carpet. It was Heavy, but it worked perfectly!  Jake loved the independence and deciding for himself when he wanted to go for a swim.

We knew we wanted to produce and market our invention and in 2003 decided to have Dog-on Water Ramp patented (US Patent No. 6,722,307 B1). 

Mindful of the stress and pain that a dog may encounter if hauled back into a boat, we were determined from the beginning to incorporate comfort and safety into our products. Several revisions and improvements have been made over the years.  This new design features the benefits of "drop-stitch" construction, which simplifies setup and transport but remains true to the design that has been loved by dogs for over 20 years.
